Digital Medicine Society Hires New Chief Scientific Officer, Ieuan Clay, and Board Member, Keith Kennerly

The new additions will further expand DiMe’s impact on the field of digital medicine

Boston, MA, December 15, 2021 – Today the Digital Medicine Society (DiMe) announced Ieuan Clay as its new Chief Scientific Officer (“CSO”) and Keith Kennerly, Founder and CEO of PayRx, as member of the Board of Directors and Treasurer. The new additions reinforce DiMe’s commitment to leading the rapidly evolving field of digital medicine.

In his role as CSO, Clay will bring his experience in healthcare and technology to lead scientific strategy and output for DiMe. Following his PhD at the University of Cambridge, which focused on technology and analytics development, he joined Novartis Research in 2010, where he built and led the Digital Endpoints group within Translational Medicine. Most recently, Clay worked across research and product development at Evidation Health, driving progress on evidence-based tools to support patient engagement and health awareness.

Kennerly brings nearly 25 years of financial services and healthcare experience to his role as Board Member and Treasurer at DiMe. Prior to founding PayRx, Kennerly had served as Vice President at Hannover Re Group and Managing Director for Aetna Inc. Previously, he spent the majority of his career at Barclays Capital as a Senior Banker in Structured Finance. He has also led strategic financial initiatives for Medicare, Medicaid, and commercial businesses, forging strategic client relationships with 100+ health payers, providers, PBMs and pharmaceutical manufacturers. In addition to his professional qualifications, Kennerly holds a Bachelor of Science in Mechanical Engineering from Drexel University and earned his Master of Business Administration from The Wharton School at University of Pennsylvania.

“I’m confident that Ieuan is going to fortify DiMe’s scientific capabilities to deliver evidence-based resources to the field,” says DiMe CEO, Jennifer Goldsack. “Meanwhile, Keith brings tremendous industry knowledge to our Board of Directors and as Treasurer, will ensure we have the organizational resilience to continue pursuing our mission. We’re looking forward to a successful 2022 with these two powerhouses on our team.”

Clay and Kennerly began their work with DiMe earlier this fall and joined the organization’s growing team. To learn more about career opportunities at DiMe, click here.
